Spread Some Love With Our Impact!

As we spread the love for Valentine’s Day, we reflected on our incredible stats from last year in 2024! Thanks to you, we engaged 1,116 volunteer change-makers who put in 10,990 hours of their time to help us complete 1,826 repairs on 256 homes and impacted 10,424 lives. Curious about our 2025 stats? Stay tuned for some incredible numbers and impact!
Meet Your Neighbor, Roger!
Our Spring Newsletter gave a quick glimpse into a few transformational projects we were able to complete. We were blown away at the outpouring of love and support we received from sharing the story of Roger, a children’s book author and educator who devoted his life to teaching our community. Two Successful Rebuilding Days!

We held our Rebuilding Days in April and November, and it was a success thanks to all of you! We were able to welcome over 800 volunteers all over Santa Clara County between both Rebuilding Days.
We Celebrated Affordable Housing Month!

Affordable Housing Month is an annual event in May that focuses on raising awareness and advocating for solutions to housing affordability challenges, locally here in Santa Clara County. We were proud to celebrate Affordable Housing Month in partnership with Silicon Valley @ Home when we hosted a workshop about preservation mobile homes. If you’d like to see us make a presentation to your organization, contact our team for details. We’d love to get connected! Connect with us at .
Representing Neighborhood Pride At National Night Out!

Each year in August, neighborhoods across the country come together on National Night Out to build community spirit and safety. We were so proud to be part of the Seven Trees Neighborhood Association’s National Night Out! Thank you for joining RTSV as we gave out swag, applications for free home repair, and information on how to support our life-changing work while enjoying the resource fair, games, food trucks, and live music!
Paint The Town!

Seeing your smiles and being able to catch up with you at Paint The Town, our annual fundraiser and celebration, made us feel all the community love! We also premiered the heartwarming stories of Bettie and Margaret, two of our Rebuilding Day Recipients from National Rebuilding Day. Our Staff also shared their perspectives about what makes RTSV such an invaluable resource for our community. We were so elated that you all loved these videos we put together.
We’re Shining A Light On Safety
We’re incredibly proud to see such an incredible community effort around our latest program we launched just a few months ago, Shine A Light! RTSV’s Shine A Light program offers essential items to make homes safer and helps bring safety while our neighbors wait for larger repairs or home modifications. Shine A Light kits include a video doorbell, outdoor and indoor motion sensor lights, and other resources to help our neighbors shine a light where they need support at home the most.
Thanks to your support, our amazing crew of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work installing our Shine A Light kits for our neighbors who needed a helping hand.
Meet Your Neighbors, Catherine and Peter
At the start of this Giving Season, we introduced you to our neighbors, Catherine and Peter. They’ve lived in their modest home in Alviso for more than 25 years, raising their family there and building deep roots in their community. But when major structural issues caused the home to be red-tagged and deemed unsafe, they faced the unthinkable — eviction within 10 days from the place where they’d built their lives.
With no means to afford the critical repairs, Peter and Catherine feared losing everything. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, contractors, and donors like you, we were able to repair their home, restore safety, and help them stay in their home. Today, they’re no longer living under threat of displacement — they’re back to tending their garden and welcoming their grandchildren through the same front door they’ve opened for decades.
We’re on a mission to raise $130,000 by 12/31 for our neighbors like Obdulia. Will you help us reach our goal?
We Hosted You For Lunch!

During this past year, we hosted you for lunch in Gilroy and Cupertino with our popular Lunch & Learn With Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley events. These free events were a great way to meet our community and introduce ourselves. In 2026, we’re excited to host you for lunch in some of the other cities and communities we complete our transformational work in. If you’d like to collaborate with us to host our next Lunch & Learn event, help provide lunch, or have ideas for presentation spaces, we’d love to partner with you! Get in touch with our team at .
Gratitude Takes Over On Giving Tuesday!

On December 2nd, RTSV participated in Giving Tuesday by hosting our annual Donor Thank-A-Thon. Every year, we look forward to celebrating Giving Tuesday as a movement to break away from the consumerism of the holiday season. It’s also a great way to encourage people to give back, give gratitude, and reinvest in their local communities.
Thanks to you, this year on Giving Tuesday, RTSV raised more than $14,000 towards our Annual Appeal campaign!
At Rebuilding Together - Silicon Valley, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home, so we help provide critical home repairs to over 600 clients per year, including to those who are aging in place. We rely on generous donations—like those on Giving Tuesday—to continue our essential work and the positive impact we have in these communities.
You can help us make a difference in these communities by donating to our cause today or you can learn more information about what your donations help us accomplish by watching our neighbors Betty and Margaret’s stories!
