DEIA COMMITMENT
RTSV is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion with our active DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) Task Force. Take a look below at how RTSV plans to include DEIA in our organization.
DEIA STATEMENT
Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley’s mission is repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives furthered by our vision, safe homes and communities for everyone. At RTSV, everyone means just that: anyone regardless of ethnicity, religious background, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, & ACCESSIBILITY (DEIA)
Recognizing that injustices exist is not enough. In our continued effort to move forward with DEIA, we have established our DEIA Working Group.
Our DEIA Working Group consists of staff and board members with the goal of creating a safe space to explore our own implicit biases while at the same time evaluating the work and structure of RTSV and how we can overcome systemic barriers and best serve the community.
JOIN THE DEIA WORKING GROUP
The DEIA Working Group’s main goal is to drive RTSV to become a fully inclusive, equitable organization. Our DEIA Working Group hopes to accomplish this by focusing on 3 main objectives:
- Learn about and put DEIA concepts into practice
- Evaluate RTSV Diversity
- Consider how our mission interfaces with racial inequity and wealth inequality in the communities we serve
These three objectives are further divided into detailed actions, all of which come together so that our DEIA Working Group ensure that each of the smaller objectives are met and RTSV is on track to achieve our overarching main goal.

As it stands now, the DEIA Working Group is made of both staff and board members. Our next step is to include more voices on our DEIA Working Group to better represent the community we serve.
